Mountaineering Workshop

You have quite some experience in normal mid level mountaineering, but you are curious and want to go all the way up high into more serious terrain? You don’t really know how to run rescue scenarios on glaciers or what its all about at all? Mountaineering in the high alpine is coming along with a couple more challenges. So its a great idea to prepare yourself for the next step towards becoming an independent alpinist

What’s to be expected:

A three days workshop, in which you learn the basics of mountaineering in the high country. Including glacier rescue, weather, knots and rope rescue, orientation in white out, strategy and tactics on glacier traverses

What you get:

3 full days of individual guiding by a certified IFMGA Mountain Guide, Rental of harness and crampons, helmet, rope and other hardware, Amazing days out in the alpine, booking of huts and taxis, trip organization

Conditions:

• physical fitness to do 400 vertical meters per hour (ascent) necessary
• some rock climbing/scrambling experience appreciated
