The “local” with lots of endurance and power
… that is me, Markus Bründl – welcome to my world of mountaineering in the spectacular Zell am See/ Kaprun region. A passion for mountaineering began very early in my life. It all started on the rock climbing wall in Bruck, where I took my first steps. I soon wanted more, and so other vertical challenges caught my interest. At the age of 16 I stood on the peak of the Matterhorn for the first time and was now totally infected by the mountaineering bug.
After completing an apprenticeship as a chef in Kaprun, I travelled around the world. My daily timetable was filled with mountaineering, climbing and adventure; it doesn’t get much better! Relaxed from this life-changing experience, I wanted only one thing – to make my passion my job. I gave up my cooking spoon and started my training to become an internationally certified Mountain and Ski Leader.
Since 2013, I have been working full-time as a Mountain Leader and what shall I say; “I love it.” For me there is nothing better than showing my guests the nature, the adventure and the absolute freedom of the mountains.
